"Booster Set Alternatives" are packs of cards that are used to build or edit decks. First released in the D-Product lines, it is an ENG-exclusive product designed to mass-release multiple sets in the JPN Format to the ENG format at the same time. Each pack contains 5 different cards, while a display box contains 30 packs.
Unlike Trial Decks, the cards contained in boosters set alternatives are random and from several different Worlds and the card codes for each card is lengthened to include the Set Code for the Product the card was originally from in the JPN Format.
Parallel foil versions of R or lower cards are included. These are randomly distributed in packs, and the ratio in a display box is 1 parallel foil R, 2 parallel foil Us, and 3 parallel foil Cs.
