Daijiro plays a MAX Dragon deck, focused on evolving his buddy, Domilord, Zerberos one size greater at the end of each player's turn with his Set spell Overcrest. The deck is both a combination of offense and defense. Each time Zerberos evolves, Daijiro can add a MAX Dragon card from his deck, letting him search for the next evolution. Once Zerberos evolves into Emplord, Zerberos Lost , he can wipe out his opponent's field. All of Zerberos' forms have the ability 'Against All Odds' which can prevent Zerberos from being destroyed, returned to hand and rested by effects if it's the only monster on Daijiro's field, reflecting his ideology regarding strength in quality, not quantity.
To make matters worse for the opponent, the more Zerberos evolves, all of his stats increase and he can do more attacks, making him a large wall and a wall breaker. After Masato Rikuo, his old best friend, evolved his buddy, Agito, he losterized his buddy again to evolve it into, Almighty Overlord, Zerberos Lost. This card has the highest states of every MAX Dragon card. He also changed his deck so that he can gain more attackes by continuly casting Seamless Dragon Lord multiple times to get to his Size 6 Zerberos on his first turn.
