• Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇, literally "8-branched giant snake" or "8-forked serpent"), or simply Orochi, is a legendary 8-headed and 8-tailed dragon in Japanese Mythology that was slain by the Shinto storm-god Susanoo.
• "Gatara" is the Serbo-Croation word for "soothsayer/fortuneteller", a person capable of predicting a person's future, or "pythoness", a person possessed by a soothsaying spirit or referring to the Pythia, more commonly known as the Oracle of Delphi.
  • In Greek Mythology, Python was the name of a monstrous dragon, appointed to guard the Oracle of Delphi by its mother, Gaia. One day, the Olympian god Apollo came to Delphi and slayed the dragon. In doing so, he claimed Delphi and the Oracle as his own.
