"Future Card Buddyfight New Drive " (บัดดี้ไฟท์นิวไดรฟ์ Buddyfight New Drive) is a Thailand-only series of Future Card Buddyfight announced by the Thai distributor, KidzandKai, following Bushiroad's announcement regarding the end of the Buddyfight series.
Similar to Cardfight!! Vanguard's V System, New Drive essentially "rebooted" Buddyfight. Starting with the release of ND-TD01 and ND-TD02 on October 15, 2023, cards from season 1 of Future Card Buddyfight were re-released with "ND" added to the front of their card codes, and some cards with changed abilities and stats.
Aside from changing older cards, New Drive also saw the introduction new attribute, 12 Zodiacs, and the new card type, Buddy Gifts. They also release new Re:B cards for older cards.
Formats[]
- There are two playable formats in the New Drive series. The first is the New Drive format, which follows most standards rules of Buddyfight and only allows players to use cards with the New Drive backing.
- The second format, Overdrive, uses the same rules as the New Drive format, except that players are able to combine new ND cards with older non-ND cards in their decks.

Anime Release[]
Future Card Buddyfight New Drive has no original anime. Rather, the Kidzandcardz Channel began re-uploading 1080 P remastered versions of the Future Card Buddyfight anime, with each episode being once a week. Episodes 1 to 21 are set to be uploaded weekly, beginning on October 7, 2023 at 7:00 PM ICT, whereas episodes 22 to 64 are set to be uploaded weekly, beginning on February 3, 2024.
Plot[]
The series takes place during the year 2030, in Choutokyo, Japan. Through the game "Buddyfight", humanity is able to interact with the residents of other worlds: Buddy Monsters. Chosen humans (known as "Buddyfighters") become "Buddies" with Buddy Monsters to play the game. There are those who choose to use the power of Buddy Monsters for evil, but the "Buddy Police" puts a stop to these criminals. Gao Mikado is a student at Aibo Academy, and is a very nice guy, even if he doesn't look like it. His life changes when he meets the son of the hero of the Dragon World: Drum Bunker Dragon (whom he nicknamed 'Drum') that he drew from a pack in class one day.
