The gauge as it appears in the anime
"Gauge" (ゲージ Gēji) is a resource used to pay for cards and abilities. It is stored in the gauge zone. Placing a card face-down into the gauge zone is known as "charging", while sending such a card to the drop zone is called "paying". You can charge the gauge during the start phase on your turn, in which you can place a card from your hand in the gauge to draw a card, this is called "Charged and Draw". Some cards have the ability to add Gauge such as Dragon Knight, Maximilian.
Rulings
- Q: When I pay cost from my gauge, can I choose which cards to put to the drop zone?
- A: Yes, you may. When paying cost from the gauge you may choose whichever card you want. However, you cannot look at what is face down in the guage zone.
