"Shusui Kanahebi" is a character in the Future Card Buddyfight anime, who appeared in the episode 25 along with the other four demon generals of Sengoku. Little is known about him, except that his buddy monster is Sky Ninja, Yamigarasu, and his core gadget seems to be a katana or knuckle guard of some sort.
He is voiced by Scott Roberts in the English dub.
Appearance[]
Kanahebi is a tall young man with brown hair below a purple bandana, tied in the back with a silver forehead protector. He wears typical purple ninja clothes, hinting that he is a Katana world fighter, and often stands on the balls of his feet and likes to sit up in the rafters.
Anime Biography[]
He first made an appearance in episode 25. He orders his buddy Yamigarasu to give Gao and his companions a not so warm welcome when they are heading to Sengoku Academy.
In episode 28, he buddyfights Zanya in the next round. It was revealed that he was the head of the Kanahebi ninjas who escaped from the police raid under the orders of Commissioner Kisaragi when he was a child. He also noticed young Zanya dressed in a ninja outfit, trying to persuade his father to spare them. During the buddyfight, Zanya guessed that what he wanted was a revival of his family, but he replied that it was a waste of time to follow his dream. However, Zanya proved him wrong, shouting out that even in this buddyfight, he is still doing what he was supposed to do, being a ninja and follow his dream. He realized that Zanya was right and was defeated.
He appears again in episode 45, in which Raremaro shows him the invitation to the Gaen Cup.
